I am gonna be setting up a 10 gallon. Was thinking of making it an FO tank and put clownfish in it. Would making a 10 gallon saltwater tank be recommend or would it just be a headache?

Also can a clownfish be put into a 10 gallon? Can I just keep one, then maybe some other fish.

I'd always recommend someone new to saltwater to have a bigger sized tank, because there is more water volume, therefore all the bad stuff is in a bigger volume of water. You'll have to be very diligent about changing the water and testing the water.

Clownfish can be kept in a 10 gallon, I wouldn't suggest anymore fish other than them, I wouldn't even ever keep clownfish in a 10 gallon, it just seems so small.

The number one reason I'd suggest a bigger tank is because you'll want it. Once you get more into the salty side you'll probably regret not getting a bigger tank because you are so limited with such a small tank and you'll just want to keep adding and adding.

Bigger is always better ;)
