I have been wondering for a while now why my clown pair always swims at the back corner at the top of the water at night. everybody else is resting except the clownfish. Is this normal?

Clownfish will have a "spot" where the bed-down for the night. Its a wierd behavior and there's no rhyme or reason to the spot they choose, but perfectly normal

will second that one ski as my pair stay near the surface at the back of the tank once lights out, so there really is nothing to worry about. :good:

I will add that my clown often rests in a 45 degree position on the surface.

If you search the Web for that behaviour you will find that some people thaught they were sick or going to die but that's perfectly normal for a clown (no pun intended ... ).

Not all clowns do that. I saw mine a few times at night on the ground in the corner where he normally is on the surface but mostly he's floating on the surface since the 4 weeks I've got him now.
