I just bought some clown loaches, very small ones might i add, and was wondering how much my other two are worth. They are about 7 inches long, beutiful coloured fish and have been told before that they a worth a small fortune, well about 70 quid. Is this right?

Another ill add is that i love my loaches and will not be selling them! They have too much of a personality.... i bought my two other small loaches about 0.5 inches long for a fiver each. So far i have noticed that the big loaches are mothering the babies and protecting them. They dont eat and give all there food to the babies, and have noticed that when they do eat they spit their food back out into smaller particles for the small loaches to eat, cute i think.

Anyways talk for to long again as usall, so anybody got a price for my babies, not the babies but my babies, the loaches lol. Not saying that the babies arnt my babies as well, they are but im not on about those babies im on about the big babies.

Babies count = 9 lol

ill shut up now.......

WOW!

Welcome to the forum chatterbox! I like your style.

No idea how much they are worth - if you're not selling you dont need to know unless its for insurance...... :D

I like to keep stuff like that a mystery so as to add a bit of mystic to the whole thing. Keeps people guessing..... :p

They sound like beautiful fish - hope my 4 grow up to be like that.

Here in the US you can usually get 7"-9" clowns for little over $20.

Oh no $20, no relief, i was hoping for "Your fish are worth 150 quid +++" oh well i still love them and thats that.

Interesting things ive noticed about clown loaches, any of you noticed them or are my fish even weirder, they lay on their sides somtimes upside down in the bubbles, no kidding, they clatter there teeth together to tell each other off, they change colour when its feeding time, when they are fighting annoyed or ill etc. My ones at the moment are incredibly gray becuase they have not eaten, the BABIES, normaly they would be bright red.

Its good to know when my fish arnt feeling well because they can change colour and tell you!!! im going to take some pics and show you what they look like....

My SpyWare blocker kills the MSN link and the other two links fail because hotlinking is not permitted. You can upload pictures to the Members Aquarium Pictures forum at this site.

Monty at Tri-Mar has 100mm Clowns for under a tenner. Most people tend to buy small ish and keep them, the market for big fish is actually quite small - they may be worth a lot on a to replace basis, but that does not mean people will form a queue to buy them.

I am hoping mine don't get too big, but in a healthy natural way obviously. Pets at Home were selling some before I got mine and a 4"-5" one was £30. I got my bigger one for free with my tank and paid £3.50 for the others as litte uns.

I saw 2 clowns the other day about 5 inches they wanted £30 each for them.
