Hi, i would like to get some clown loaches and heard that they like to be in groups of 3+. only problem is i only have a 60gallon tank so i cant fit 3 when they're full grown. i think i could fit 2 ok but i dont know if they will be unhappy with only one companion.

please help me out, thanks :D

60g can supply several for now as they grow very very painfully slow. It would take about 15 years for them to get full length so there's no hurry. Maybe you could keep about 8 now, and get rid of a few in the future. However if you only want the buy the ones you keep, I recommend about 2-3 (Depends if they can turn around in the tank - concerning width). :)

we've got 4 in our 50 - with pleanty of other fish... before they get to any major size - you'll be capable of looking after a lot denser populations ?8i work to 2" of grown fish per gal.

if you get 3 (id say that was a minimum) you should be fine ;)

the tank is about 48L x 14W x 20H so they should be able to turn around even at full size.

ours is 48 x 15.75 x 15.75 (its a metric 120 x 40 x 40 cm)

they should be fine in there.

I would agree. Clown Loaches tend to reach 5-6" very quickly but after that their growth rate slows down dramatically so you would have some time before you needed a new tank. :)

They would do fine in a 60 gallon  I've got 4 in a 55 gallon and they're doing just fine, so if I were you I'd get four and just totally forget how big they CAN get because it's doubtful they will ever reach 12 inches
