I used to have 3 baby clown loaches, but now Iam down to two I think because their old home was only a 10 gallon tank and now I have a 30 gallon for them. Not to mention, the clown loaches are VERY active!!!! I love it

But as for my blue loach, he has been hiding ever since I got him ( 2 weeks ago ). Do you think it would help if I bought more blue loaches so he won't be as lonely? Or should I get more clown loaches so he won't feel threatened and be active?

:'(

Thanks for help

what do you mean blue loach,
are you refering to Yasuhikotakia modesta (fromerly botia modesta)?

if so they are very nocturnal and are rarely seen in the day time.
the best way of viewing them is via a moonlight system

Yes, thats him!
He never goes out to play or just to be active.. :[

I guess I'll try to get a moonlight system... How much do they go for ya know?

Thx for the help

You don't say how big the Clowns are compared with the Y. Modesta but Modestas can get a bit to feisty for clowns. I would recommend you give the Modesta a tank of its own and then get more to go with it or swap your clowns for more Modestas.
