I've heard that Clown Loaches will eat snails. Will they eat snails of any size, or just smaller ones? I've got a couple of larger snails that are about 1/2 inch across their shells and would like to add them to the tank with loaches. Will this be ok, or will the loaches eat them? The loaches are about 3-4 inches long.

Thanks

are you talking apple sanils?
even so the clowns will eat them.
they start by nipping off the breathing tubes and then when the snail is
suffocating they open the flap and suck them out.

Really? My clowns must be a bit slow, because they never thought of that!

I mistakenly put an apple snail in with them and they just harrassed it CONSTANTLY. Those apple snails can get pretty secure in their shells though. In the end the snail found a new home, so it was a happy ending.

My two ignore my Tiger Snail. He zooms all over the place without any bother B)
