Hi,

Added a couple of clown loaches to my tank today, and they were both going a bit crazy at their reflections, they were nipping at it and shaking their heads, is that normal?

They have since settled down a bit now though

yep nothing to worry about,

ideally though clown loaches prefer a bigger group - at least four if your tank can handle it. They will interact more and you will probably see more of them.

I have 5 in my community tank and they are very amusing to watch when they chase each other arround.

:)

;) Nice fish ccl, they like to be in groups and need excellent water conditions as they are prone to whitespot. :) Mac.

Hi,

In addition to my previous post, one of the loaches has positioned itself in the far corner.

The other cannot be seen anywhere as it has swam into one of the ornaments in the tank. :S

So whos got the biggest clown then i seen pics of some that are 12 inches on the net....

mine are less than a year old only around 2-2.5" for 4 of them,

but one has outstripped the others and is allready nearly 4" long!

ccl, as suggested, if you can add 2 or 3 more they will likly be more sociable and active
