My percula clown doesnt seem to eat much, if anything. I have a green chromis who seems to eat everything in his sight. The clown usually spits it out or seems disinterested. The LFS fed flake, but he doesnt take it. The chromis loves mysis shrimp but the clown spits it out. Neither eat pellet.

Is it possible the fish is eating something living in the tank? He seems happy and healthy and has been in my tank for about 3 weeks with no signs of sickness.

Mine did this only the first five days or so. He generally is more picky than the damsel with him and also seems to be less interested in food.

My LFS fed him frozen mysis shrimps. So I bought a pack of those but it turned out to be a horrible food that the damsel doesn't appreciate much either and even the platys eat that stuff very reluctant and they consume normally every trash that looks edible.

I found out that he eats more the smaller pieces and and loses interest rapidly. So the cure to this is to feed him various times every half an hour only very little instead of one single meal.

In the morning, I give only a few marine fish flakes into the tank where Mr. Nemo prefers only to eat a small piece while the damsel eats eagerly the whole left over. In the afternoon our daughter starts with those tiny meals every half an hour and this ends shortly before lights go off. In the afternoon they usually consume one cube of frozen Marine Mix or one single cube of those frozen food that comes with two cubes together as one portion.

If there is a left over that means if they are picky and don't eat much I give the rest to the platys in another tank. They eat even at night with lights switched off.

I feed every day because the fish are tiny. The damsel is about one inch long and the clown is only somewhat longer.

Ok, getting desperate. He seems to be losing his color and looking "skinny". I have tried flake, pellet, brine, mysis, and garlic with the shrimp. He is not interested. Any suggestions?

Hummm, how about fish roe (fish eggs) which you can find at a local asian market?

Try some live food as well if you haven't already :good:

Aaaand, he's dead. Its my first fish death. Too bad, but I tried everything I could. Thanks everyone for your suggestions. :rip:

Sorry Tim, that stinks. These things happen in saltwater tanks, alas
