Ok, i have 2 percula clowns. They have been together for about 4 months, and now out of no where, one is picking on the other one and wont leave him alone. The other clown stays hidden and when it comes out the other clown goes after him. I am sure they are both the same species. I have no anemone in the tank so im sure its not over that. Also, the clown getting picked on shakes or vibrates when the other one comes up to him???

Can anyone help me out???

I'd leave them for now. It sounds like they are trying to establish dominance. They will fight for a while and the stronger one will become dominant and eventually become a female. There is a chance the weaker one could be bullied to death so keep an eye on them, but they should sort themselves out within a week or so.

Yea, thanks for the reply.

They are both similar and size. I really hope he wont end up killing him due to all the stress. Some time i try and scare him away with a stick and hell stop for a little but than he does it all over again!

It been like this for about a week already

My clowns went through this phase but it never got to the stage where I thought one would die. I agree with Sian, leave em to it. If they are still similar in size then it may be that they are both still males. The more dominant should get bigger and become female.

Hopefully by this point things should calm down. *crosses fingers*

You can try telling them off and threatening to smack the naughty ones bottom.

It didn't work when my clown was misbehaving but it's worth a try :hey:

You can try shaking your finger at them alot. Mine didn't pay attention...just followed the finger up and down, demanding food from it.
