Hi all,

I have a pair of the above in my 30 gallon. I've had a few issues with the tank including losign another fish.

I put this down to a lack of maintenance on my part due to not having the tiem and recent readings show the nitrAte being around 80 or so. A water change has dropped this down to between 20-40 and i have another planned.

The clowns seem fine, swimming well, eating etc. but I've noticed they're losing some of their black colour. Could this be down to stress?

All other readings are fine.

Thanks!

James

I think that they are only stressed..... don't worry much. if there is another things that we are not aware of....... then feel free to say so.

no every other readign is fine.

Amonia 0, nitrite 0, pH 8, SG 1.025.

Hopefully it's a blip and i'm back on the maintenance now i've got the time!

Mine have been in for at least 6 months now without any probs but this one...

I feed a mix of frozen (usually mysis as they love it) and dried food which contains flakes and dried shrimp etc.

Would some nori help do you think?

dont think clowns will touch norri.

just some people feed frozen brine every day. Theres next to no neutritional value in BS so you have to feed a varied diet. Looks like you are doing this already though. Id reccomend new era pellets aswel.

Just to let you all know - the colour has come back totally in one of them (the larger) and is gradually comign back in the other :)

Must have been the stress!

yah, maybe you've got a hitchhiker crab in there or something?

My clowns love enriched brine shrimp

Hitchiker crab???

I have about 10-15 hermits, and emerald crab and a cleaner shrimp. Gonna get another emerald to help out with the algae!
