I know a lot of people have probably asked about this, but I can't find any threads.
My ten gallon has developed slightly cloudy water. The params are normal, although I haven't tested the nitrAte lately. I'm planning to do a large water change tonight. The tank is VERY heavily planted with ten neons, a betta, a cory and a couple of otos.
My question is, what normally causes cloudiness in the water? Could it be detritus from the plants? Until I got the plants, the water was crystal clear. Could it be something else that I don't have a test kit for? What is the best recommendation to clear this up? I don't like having to use a lot of chemicals.
