I did a 10% water change on both my tanks 2 days ago, and usually it clears very quickly. This time it hasnt, 1x 50 gal and 1x 70 gal. I also cleaned filters (in old tank water) and added a carbon filter back to my 50 as it was out for a week treating ich. Problem is it is still cloudy (whitish) and im coming to the conclusion that it must have been the tap water itself maybe ? i dont have a GH kit, but rest of tank levels are fine - ammonia=0 nitrite=0 nitrate=20 Ph=6.8 (all in p.p.m.) anything i can do about cloudiness ? :/

You should be doing a 30% water change a week. Give the tank a chance to clear up with daily water changes. Sometimes have meds in water will make it cloudy, do the water changes and let filter do its job it shoud clear up in time, maybe it won't take to long. Maybe you don't have good filteration. Don't bother adding anything from lfs that says it will clear cloudy tanks, they either don't work and plus not good for tank.
