I was at the pet store yesterday and I was told to buy acurel f. The lady told me it would clear my tank in hours.......it ended up making it even more cloudy. I dont know what to do.HELP

A few large water changes, plus a layer of floss in your filter if you don't have any atm, should sort it out; it's probably a bacterial bloom, common in new tanks, or ones that have had a major upheaval/rescape/move.

The water is white and cloudy.Where can you buy filter floss because lots of people have told me about that and I cant find it.

Have a look in the pond section of your LFS or garden centre; they usually sell big rolls of the stuff; it looks like the stuffing you get in soft toys or cushions; like a sort of nylon-y cotton wool.

Yes; it'll catch any tiny 'bit's that are managing to get through your sponges/foams, but you should ensure that your stats are up to scratch and be careful that you're not over-feeding or doing something else to cause it.

I know I havent been overfeeding. Well thanks for the help. I really appreciate it.

Just don't REPLACE what's in your filter with the new floss, otherwise you'll be starting your cycle from scratch.

Oh, lordy! Yes a very good point!

You just want to add a thin layer of floss, you don't want to take anything out :good:
