I need some advice. I have two tanks but one tank is cloudy. all water levels are perfect. Tried the water clear stuff it didnt work. Also did a 50% water change and its still cloudy. any ideas? Thanks!

What substrate you got in? wash it cleaned properly...

I just had same prob on my new tank i setup and what sorted it was emptying all water except 1/4... and then placing a plate in the bottom and filling back up directly on the plate so tmy substrate was not getting thrown about. clear as a bell now.

Tank has been setup for a few weeks. Was afraid to clean the gravel because it is my fry tank and I didnt want to suck them up into the gravel vaccuum. I have molly fry, guppy fry and platy fry in there.

Sounds like bacteria bloom, this is common on newly set up tanks...having dirty gravel won't help it,

I would give the gravel a vac, being a fry tank, its easier to have a bare bottomed tank when cleaning,if you do suck any fry up,just catch the fry out of the bucket and put back in the tank, they should be fine.

Get a turkey baster and try sucking it up in a few areas to see if the gravel is actually dirty; either that or remove all of the fry when you do it.
