Cloudy Water

hi all

last couple of days ive been gettin cloudy water everytime i add my ammonia. currently doin a fishless cycle and am now on day 20. i did do a roughly 75% water change cuz my ph dropped so im thinkin a bacterial bloom thing just want a 2nd opinion really.

yeah defo a bacteria bloom maybe an ammonia spike,im not too sure though someone else might know better

Most likely a BB, did you still have cloudy water the whole 20 days?

BB are Heterotrophic bacteria that colonize very quickly in the water column that eat off of organics in the water.

no have only had cloudy water since day 19 when i did a 75% waterchange to bring my ph bk up from 6.6 and also i only get the cloudy water after ive added the ammonia for my fishless cycle then say after 12hrs when its time to add ammonia its clear again

is it the correct ammonia you are add with no detergents ?

yea like i say ive nt had no problems with cycling the tank with the ammonia at all its only been since i did the wc to get the ph up that ive had this prob

Okay, it is just a bacteria bloom, and all should clear in a couple of days.

No need to worry, unless it is still there for more than a week.

In that case we will look at the situation closer.
