Cloudy Water

my water has turned quite cloudy over the past two days, and despite cleaning the filter out it stays the same?
can anyone help? please?

could be a bacterial bloom. chack you water stats. if it is you will have high ammonia and you should do a water change. there is a pinned topic about it on the top of the topic.

how did u clean the filter your problem may be due to this

filters been cleaned.... still cloudy

its been like it for 3 days now, the fish are all alive and healthy, im just still abit worried?

Have you got readings for Ammonia, Nitrite, Nitrate and PH?
How was the filter cleaned, tank or tap water?

You have already said that how did you clean it out and how long has this filter been runing?

washed the mechanical filtration in some tank water, i dont know the other readings, but if it was ammonia wouldnt the fish be dead after 3 days?

Many fish wont die straight away. They will however not be healthy and the longer they are subjected to nasties in teh water the worse they get. Think of it like living in a smoke filled room. It wont kill you straight away (unless really bad) but it will make you cough, and take years off your life.
