I have a 125 gallon tank with an albino channel cat an irridescent shark a florida gar and 2 oscars.. For the first month or so i had the tank i was battling keeping the water clear.. I added some Accuclear i belive and it cleared that water instantly.. Well I had the light off overnight which i normally do and all day today.. I turned on the light a few min ago and the tank is so cloudy! I did nothing different. They eat the same amount of food.. I change the water 30 percent bi-monthly... Why would my water just cloud up??

Is it a milky white type of cloudy? If so, then its just a bacteria bloom and you need to wait it out.

Yes its a milky white color.. How long it take to clear up?? A few days?

A few days, or a few weeks, it really varies. Generally, bacterial blooms show up when a tank is cycling or newly cycled.

Hi...how old is your tank? I have a 46G FW that was cloudy for almost 2 months. It drove me crazy. It's been crystal clear every since. As mentioned above, it is a bacterial bloom...very common in a newly setup tank. It won't hurt your fish but will irritate you until it resolves.

My recs:
1) patience
2) continue your regular water changes
3) patience
4) don't add chemicals or clairifiers
5) patience
6) avoid overfeeding
7)...you know it already

I have had the tank set up since november.. It was cloudy for quite a while.. I added some chemicals and it has been clear since until reappearing yesterday. It has been running for months.. This cloudiness is gonna kill me but im just gonna wait it through.
