Hi all,
I posted about a problem with a cloudy tank last week, and although it has cleared alot it is still not crystal.
I had water test done and nitrate and ammonia levels are fine.
could it be my filter? how often should I change the pad? The guy at the pet shop reckons it could just be grime but I have loads of water changes over the past two weeks just to get it this clear. Or can a heater do this? I replaced mine recently.
Just a little worried as my molly seems either really shy or suffering (but not gasping) hiding at the bottom of the tank
any suggestions would be helpful

Right how many gallons is the tank, plus full fish stock of how many and which type, what filter are you using.
And the molly is she laying on the gravel to one side.

I have an 90 litre tank. One Angel, two Mollies and one ram.
The Mollie seems to just hids alot and lie down but then start moving when I am out the room

To be honest that tank isn't big enough for angels and rams, not sure about the rams size of tank but angel need a 30gal, is it a juwel tank.
For the molly i would try her on some shelled peas and daphnia as she shouldn't be laying on the gravel, what it look like when she goes to the toilet, does she look bloated, and can she maintain her balance in the water.

I realise this about my angel and I am trying to find her a home, but will be a couple of weeks.
Havent really noticed molly poo! but could investigate, not had her that long at all so not really familiar with her. Just been feeding normal flakes.
Not entirely sure what you mean by a jewel tank?

Wondering if the filter is big enough for the tank, as if the filter is not up to much the tank could be cloudy due to that.
I would feed her some shelled peas and daphnia, and get the fish onto some brimestrimp, bloodworms, daphnia in frozen foods, and some veg in there diet, as just flakes will lead to constipation and swim blader problems.

I have a penn-plax cascade filter 300lph by the way... thinking its not up to it

Never heard of that filter so you are not from the uk. Does it seem powerful enough to you the filter.

came with the tank from a friend, the current seems strong enough but I dont think it is mean for my size of tank by the looks of it, molly hiding behind the filter

If you think it not up to it, you could buy a bigger one and just transfer the bacteria over to the new one.
