On thursday i set my tank up, there are no fish present and i intend to fishless cycle, but now two days later, my waters decided to go from sparkling and clear (yet bubbles were on everything... they're on their way out now though :D) to ... cloudy? i've read about bacterial blooms and how they usually occur in starter tanks, and that its a good sign of a tank thats starting to cycle. is this correct?

Keep a good log, and up your temp to 84F (29C) and raise your pH to about 8.4 by adding some baking soda to the tank. This will all be flushed out by the big water change at the end, but these are the conditions the bacteria prefer for faster multiplying.
