Cloudy Water, Just Curious (pic)

Just wondering about this, as you can see i dont have any gravel yet, but iwill be getting some soon.

This water is was treated with Wardlys complete conditioner and chlorout, and has been being filtered for about 2 days now, but you can see there is still some murk, there is also some dust on top of the water.... at least it looks like dust anyway.

this pic is slighty blurry and i do have an enormous copy of it, like 1600x1280 or something, if anyone wants it, but this is a fairly accurate representation of what it looks like, although the light in the tank looks about 100x brighter than it really is.

so what exactly is this cloud and will it go away?

As for the surface scum, it's just dust from the inside of the tank. Maybe you should turn up the flow on your filter or position it so it agitates the surface more.

The 'murk' is probably the same - dust from the new tank, it should soon settle.

i havent cycled the tank yet at all.... got a few things to setup before i start doing that.

and i must admit, i didnmt wash the bubble wands or the filter pads.
but this is the second time the tank has been full of water.
I filled it once, ran the filter and stuff, and then had to clean out some dirt with my python and do some work, so i drained it, and this is its second run.

What kind of filter are you using?

That castle looks like it may disrupt your filters mechanical flow..............

well it might be a few thing is tank new?i had this trouble about 1 month ago had it happen to me twice,my tank is three years old so i know it was not new tank sye,so came to find out it was brine srimp caueing the clodey water so if you are feedind brim,wash it good,or just plain change to blood worms,but do add gravel soon as it filters food(gives it a place to go lol)but if your tank is new it will clear in do time plz dont add clearing drop as in my opinan is kills fish hope i have helped take care by
