Could it be on another cycle? I had brown algea a few day ago but most of thats clearing now

Milky white cloudy is a bacterial bloom often caused by too much food breaking down in the tank. Do a 50% water change using dechlorinated water that has a similar temperature and PH to the tank. Gravel clean the substrate and reduce the feeding.

Cloudy green water is caused by free floating single celled algae.

Can you put phosphate remover in your filter. Rowaphos is really good but is tricky to fit in most internal filters. Also on my phosphate test it reads up to 5.0. Is 40 the same as 4m/g per l

you should be able to phosphate remover in an external filter. You mght have to improvise a fine mesh bag to hold it, stockings work quite well for that.

40ppm is the same as 40mg/L
