Cloudy Tank

I didn't think I'd been overfeeding because the food I use lasts about a minute with my fish and very little hits the bottom. Any other reasons for it getting cloudy?

What do you have for filteration on the tank?

A couple of Whisper 60 power filters. I don't use the "bio-bags" with the charcoal. I replaced those with sponges.

I might try rotating with respect to cleaning the filters. Clean material in one filter one week,and the other ,the following week.
Would always clean filter material in old aquarium water I remove each week during water change or dechlorinated water.
Might vaccum one third of the gravel, and a different one third each week as well.

You just described my cleaning routine exactly, except that I try to vacuum half the gravel each week, particularly where my pleco hangs out.

I just overfed purposely today, because we'll be gone for a few days and I'll never use a food cake again. Hoping they'll be all right, and I'm sure they will be, after reading a number of posts on that subject.
