Cloudy Tank

ok, ive had plants for about 1 and a half months.i just started using seachem flourish, using as much as they ask for. but 3 days after i did my first dose, my aquarium just started to severely clouded up. i started to do water changes every other day, and stoped dosing. i cut back feeding my 14 neons to every other day. i also started to do water changes every other day. i do have i bubble per second c02 with 3.5 wpg lighting. what is wrong?

i had the same thing using flourish. im not totaly sure why it happens, but it MIGHT be because you have hard water. (its the iron contents) i got the same thing x 10 with using seachem iron. i started using r/o water and the problem stoped. lowering your kh/gh will solve the problem

other than that, buy tropica plant nutrition+ (contains npk) you'll have no probs with that, and its brilliant and potent stuff.

if its still cloudy after a water change etc, no dosing etc it could be a bacterial bloom, in which case let it run it's course. stop ferting though. and stop the water changes.(you'll just be feeding the bloom through free goodies in your water)

you'll just have to determine which problem you have and ammend it.

i do use softened water, because the neons like softer water.

reverse osmosis. water with all impuritys taken out. well, 99.999%

you have soft water already? maybe its a bacterial bloom?

whats your water parameters? ph, kh etc?

its been another long 2 weeks and my aquarium is still cloudy!!!!!!!!!! what is wrong? i did two fifty percent water changes in the last 3 days. i do small water changes when i dont do a 50%. this is killing and embarresing me. ive never had such a cloud up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

get a liquid test kit, the nutrafin is a good one

would a pool test kit work? i really dont have any money to buy things right now.
