Cloudy Eye

My oscar all alone by himself in a 55g, has terribly cloudy eyes (he cant see out of one) i live in the US so please only give me meds available here please i need help now!


My ammonia is 0


His side scales on one side are rotting and he is flicking ALOT this has been going on for 1day and he has worn of most of the scales on one side!

Cloudy eye is a symtom of a desease not a desease in its own right.
Causes.
Bad water quality.
Stress.
Irratation.
Old age.
Bad diet.
Parasites.
Bacterial.

Rotting scales bad water quality, bacterial, parasites.
Would of needed to look at other water stats in nitrites, nitrates.

I think he had parasites i saved him from petsmart and he never really ate much compared to my two other oscars in my 90 gall and he normally just sat in one corner of his tank...i don't know that his scales were rotting as much as it was he was flicking on everything he could..and just wore his scales off. tank looks so empty and sad now

Flickdng can be alot of things. What did his gills look like.

His gills looked a little....kinda rotten but they had been that way ever since i had him, he was attacked at the store and he was scarfed up around that area

Did the gills look red and inflamed.

No...they were not red or inflamed at all

I sure a fish attacked it as it could of been bacterial gill rot.
Was he gasping.

Only like 20 minutes before he passed did he start gasping, i had him for like 6 weeks he was all nice and recovered but then he got all this stuff and died in about 1 /12 days

Ok. If you had him that length of time with no flicking and rubbing it could of been bacterial.
