First of all, just wanna say how awesome this site is << really helpful!

anyways, after cycling my tank for 2 weeks etc etc, I was intending to add all my decorations, and live plants I bought today and the fish from my old tank, but the fine gravel (thicker than sand) I added has made my tank murky/cloudy/dusty, I did wash the newly bought gravel but maybe not well enough?? although it did say on the packet not to wash too abrasively so I was cautious

Is there any way I can get rid of the cloudiness? would producing bubbles (on a filter setting) help? and I'm guessing not to transfer my fish from my old tank yet, although I read guppies naturally live in sediment filled water anyway?? (i also have some tetras)
please may i have some advice.

thankyou! :fun:

the cloudyness is normal i think.... run your filter as you normally would and it should clear up within 24 hours, as for moving ur fish i dont think it will bother them if they are guppies, as long as ur cycle has completed move them if you want but wait for somebody else to give you the go ahead aswell as im unsure but they probz would be fine

The cloudiness is normal. Just do a small 25% water change and run your filter. It won't hurt the fish if you add them to the tank now, they don't mind it. :)
