Hi,

After yesterdays water change my Betta tank is a bit cloudy. With no filtration on it how will it subside?

In the change I added Prime, Stability and Clarity.

It is 4.5 lt

I took the filter out as it was crap and causing a huge current for him and stressing him out.

Thanks

It needs a filter to keep the fish thriving. Add a smaller filter maybe or an air powered spong filter?

Ok, Thanks

Can someone show me an example of a suitable filter? As I said it is 4.5 litres. The one that was in there was

Aquatopia IPX8 = 150l/hr .

Would appreciate the advice,

thanks

The tank is cloudy because of the lack of a filter - without one, I imagine that you'll need to do water changes daily or every other day to get rid of the cloudyness.

4.5 L is tiny, only just over 1 US gallon right? That's really small, I'd never put a fish or living thing in anything so small. If I were you, I'd get a whole new setup thats at least 3-5 US gallons.

As for the filter, you want as small a filter as possible. I'd try a HOB filter (hang on back filter), as small a l/hr figure as you can get. If the flow is still too strong, then I'd suggest you try to baffle it to reduce it. I've never done it myself so I wouldn't be able to tell you how to, but I know many people on here have and from what I've heard it's relatively easy to do.

This is pretty much the smallest filter I could find: http://www.fish-fish-fish.com/azoo-mignon-filter-60.html?___store=default
