Cloning Question

I intend to use the filter in my old 10gal to seed the filter in my new 180litre. At first the bioload will be the same fish.

I now realise I haven't got an electric socket for the extra filter - I'm already using a gang socket.

There is an added complication that the 10gal has slime algae and I want to put as little as possible from there in the new tank.

Will I be okay putting the media from the old filter - ceramic noodles plus a sponge (which I will have to cut in two to fit the juwel filter)? And where would be the best place for tham in the juwel filter? I was thinking noodles between the two fine sponges and old sponge with coarse sponge.

You would be fine putting some of the old media in the new filter or if you can find an extra socket run them side by side for a 2-3 weeks
