Hi all, I'm just wanting a bit of info on these at the moment, and I have a few questions:

Ideal temperature?
Ideal water parameters regarding PH and GH?
Temperament?
Plant eaters?
Will they eat Trigonostigma hengeli or espei which max out at about 3-4cm?

Thanks, Jack

From personal experience keeping and breeding them..

Ideal temperature?
22-27°C
Ideal water parameters regarding PH and GH?
6.0 - 7.0, soft to medium
Temperament?
Scared of their own shadow is the average.
Plant eaters?
No. Will occasionally mibble at dead leaves or moss, but won't destroy it.

Are you stalking my tanks? T. heteromorpha max out larger then that, but my keyholes don't eat small harlequins (15-20mm). T. hengeli and T. espei should be fine.

Thanks for all of that, The reason I'm going for hengeli or espei is because I'm sick of my ember tetras, they cower away and I never see them, whereas the Trigonostigma species are more active, they shoal tighter and are braver.

Do you have a link to your tank? I'm interesting in seeing it.

Thanks, Jack
