Clear Stringy Poop

When I first started my tank my 75 gallon tank my 10 gallon was bare hospital tank.

I introduced some bloodfins and that crap spread like wild fire. Taking out all bloodfins, couple of danios, and 3 or 4 tigers.

I moved to the 10 gallon, and just treated both tanks.

Besides that one time (knock on wood) I have never had and visible diseases in my tank.

I do have the occasional death, but nothing I could pin to disease.

When I see fish getting picked on, sometimes I do a little changing around in the aquascaping, that usually calms them down (I suppose of new surroundings)

How many neon do you have in your tank?

I have 10 neons in my 29g where the concern is. (I do have 9 neons in a quarantine tank but that is another matter). They have been there for about three to four weeks. They are pretty big neons too. they all eat well and look great but I worry. This tank is somewhat heavily planted which creates a problem medicating it. I raised the temp when I put them in there for the first two weeks just to be on the safe side. When I fist saw the spec on the neons tail I added a couple of tsp of salt but I did this very slowly...maybe a 1/2 tsp a day. Awesome that you have minute problems with your tank. I hope a happy homeostasis develops in my home as well. I have only been keeping fish since june and I hear that beginners are bound to run into trouble but I want to avoid it!

Dont worry, I have had my share of problems dont get me wrong. In the beginning of fish keeping. Mouth fungus was my arch enemy.

However, with quaruntining (sp?) which I do for only 1 to 2 weeks sometimes, and I try to by all my fish from the same place. My mouth fungus was introduced when I added fish from different shop.

And plenty of water changes, I have had great success. IMO water changes are the key
