Cleaning Substrate

Hi all i changed my substrate from gravel to playsand a couple of weeks ago and have been cleaning it with my syphon but now the surface of the sand is starting to turn green ,

Has anyone had this problem or can anyone give me a solution to this problem?

I have live plants, rocks and community fish in the tank and i am also overfiltering.
180 ltr tank with fluval U4 internal and tetratec EX600 external filters running

yes it is in direct sunlight the problem is i have nowhere else to site it
