Cleaning power filter

I have a mini power filter that keeps clogging up. Its a little herd to get a toothbrush or anything in there, could i soak it in a bleach solution??

What kind of filter? And what is clogging?

Best to avoid bleach...kills off all your beneficial bacteria.

Its a little power filter that hangs on the side of the tank. the inlet tube gets gunk growing in it.

OK...they make round brushes (kinda like what they use to scrub baby's bottles, only smaller), they are excellent for cleaning these. The brush is flexible, so it can clean the whole tube, even the curved part.

i had this problem not too long ago, just go outside, turn on the water, put the nozzle of the hose to the intake, face it away, and spray.

Done, i've taken it apart and have gave it a blast with the hose, it now works fine, thanks.
