Cleaning Plants

Hi,

My tank had a big snail problem and im guessing they came in on my plants, im now starting my tank again so was wondering if it would be better to clean the plants before placing them into my tank.

Can this be done using tapwater?

Is there a certain way to clean them?

easy way to do it simiply run them under tank or tap water then give the a bleach bath 1-19 ratio 1 being bleach for 30 seconds then rinse them off again and stick them in your tank i do this and have been snail free try to use regualr bleach not special kinds your plants may look a little whilted but its ok
