Hi

Just a couple of quick questions:
Anyone know of a good make of gravel vac available in the UK
What's the best way to clean your equipment, nets, buckets etc....

Thanks in advance

I use the cheap gravel vacs you find in pets@home and other places: basically a head attached to a piece of plastic pipe, no battery or anything. You just move them up and down in the tank a bit to get the suction going and the water goes straight into your bucket. Works really well.

I just rinse my buckets out in a bit of tap water.

ditto, mines a manual on too and it works fine

Thanks, for the advice, got 2 manual one gravel vacs, for use in different tanks/situations but they can be a pain to use sometimes I was really wondering if anyone had come across anything better.

Tried the battery one from pets@home but it didn't last a month before water got into it.

Again thanks

Hi

I can highly recommened the lee's gravel cleaner on this site as I have foud it works loads better that the standard straight tubes. The oval end allows water pass through and over the gravel. I have found the straight versions get clogged with gravel and its a pain to unblock them.

Hope this helps

Sam
