I'm cleaning out an old aquarium thats sat with water in for a little while (lazy me!) and I've given it a good scrub to get the algae off of the glass. I'm now leaving it to soak with water and a little bleech (less than 20 to 1 solution). How long should I leave it to know that any algae and other stuff has been killed off before I continue and rinse thoroughly?

I don't want to leave it for too long incase the bleech gets into the silicone etc. Would an hour about do or longer?

An hour should be more than enough, I let mine go for about 15 minutes.

Thanks :)

Spic and span now, just thinking if I should stock it in the near future or store it awayready for when my sister wants it (some time never I'd imagine ;))
