hi folks I had an old piece of clay drain pipe that my dad had from years ago (which was totally clean,) but I had it in my tank, I have recently taken it out as I thought it may be doing something to the water,

What do you guys think, do you think that it will damage the water having it in the tank?

as long as it is clean and there is no damage to the laquer layer then iy should be fine.

if there are chips then chemicals and othet bits could be leached.

Many people use clay drain tiles for fields (pipes) in their aquarium. As far as I know all they are in clay that has been baked in a kiln (oven) and completely harmless.
