Nice fish! One of my favourites! Looks like you have alot of suspended detritus or microbubbles. Is your skimmer in your display? Doyou know whats causing that effect?

I thought it was salt crust

It shouldnt be salt crust. How are you mixing your water? Synthetic salt water should be mixed to the right SG and temperature, and a powerhead used to keep the water moving so all the salt can dissolve, and matured for 2-3 days in some large food grade containers, like the ones you might use for camping.

Otherewise, it might be air. Do you have the airline connected to your powerhead?
