My Aces bred last october and johannis breed 2 months ago. Those were both their first. Since then they have not bred again. My Kenyi female on the other hand has had 2 batches just in the last month!!!!
Another question...I have to kenyi females and one male. The male keeps breeding with one specific female and shuns the other one away. Even when my preggo female is in the holding tank he wants nothing to do with the other one in the tank with him.

Are you sure the other kenyi is a female and not a subordinate male.

Try increasing your water change regime. Maybe increase or decrease the temperature a few degrees C. Feed them more often. Deworm them and treat for gill flukes.

IME mbuna kind of breed in cycles. Mine will breed breed breed, then take a couple of months off. I do agree with Colin about changing around you water regiment and maybe the temp. I've always found they like to spawn right after a large water change (50-60%) with cool water.

I'd add a couple more female kenyis, the one the male ignores very well could be a subordinate male, they often take on female coloration to avoid aggression from the dominate.

You also might change your rocks around and break up territories, that will sometimes induce spawning.
