Hi,

I have a cichlid in my tank which has been swiping itslf against gravel. I do not know why it is doing this, is it just iching?

Thanks in advance.

Tom.

Almost certainly normal behaviour, especially if it's an Mbuna species you have. It's generally a sign of territorial behaviour or general aggression and shouldn't be anything to worry about. :good:

Hi, just like to add that it could also be due to poor water quality if your tank isn't quite cycled or going through a mini-cycle. Otherwise, it's normal just like Ferris said.

sorry, I do not know how to get pics on the free websites are really comfusing and the picture is too big to put on the "easy" way on the forum.
