I just got a 10gal. tank and would like to put cichlids in it. How many can I put in this size of a tank? Can anyone help me? :/ :/

I've recently done some research on dwarf cichlids as I've never kept them... but now want to. Everything I found advised them to be kept in pairs or trios and in no less than a 20 Gal tank. I've also heard many people agree with this (people meaning hobbyists, not professionals), and a few say you can get away with a pair in a 10 Gal, but I wouldn't do it. From what I gathered 20 Gal is minimum they will be happy in... 10 Gal is the minimum they can survive in...

There is a thread in the 'tropical chit chat' forum of this site on this exact same question. In that thread there is some conflicting opinions, but a lot of valid experience has been shared. Ya might want to check that one out.

Unfortunately… in my opinion… 10 Gal just isn’t big enough to house cichlids… sorry!

Gotta agree with nc_nutcase, Cichlids don't go in a 10 gal i'm afraid.
