I was wondering if anyone could tell me what exactly this cichlid is, was sold as a yellow jacket however I’m not entirely sure it is one. Any ideas?

It’s the old Parachromis loiselli, which is now called P. friedrichsthalii. The Yellow Jacket, which used to be P. friedrichsthalii is now P. multifasciatus.
The names changed in 2018, so you’ll still see a lot of websites calling it P. loiselli. Shops and suppliers that don’t know about the name change might see it written as P. friedrichsthalii and think it’s a Yellow Jacket.

I don't know but it looks just like my cichlids which are smiling dwarf cichlids from South America. What is the size? The dwarfs I have reach a mature size of a bit under 2 inches. There is another that goes by the same common name that gets larger. Mine are Laetacara araguaiae and look a lot like your pictures.

I agree with @Ichthys its a Parachromis species which is a much bigger Central American species compared to Laetacaras which are typically South American Dwarfs. Beautiful fish but I dont know tons about them or the Jag/Dovii relatives - always wanted an RTM though :)
