Chubby Fish Disease

I bought a chubby neon tetra a while ago, and he was fine until a week of two ago, when he died. Since then, I have had multiple fish get very fat and die. Their scales weren't sticking out, it wasn't dropsy. The most recent one seemed to puncture her stomach. A platy's starting to look a little fat. What do I do?!

What do you feed the fish, and how much do you feed them.
Stats would be good also in ammonia,nitrite,nitrate,and ph.

it could be constipation, there a few cures for this.

try reducing what you feed them its mostly caused by too much unsuitable food.

I feed them flake food, the pH hovers aroung nuetral, and I don't know my ammonia, nitrite, or nitrate levels. It isn't constipation because I add a little salt to the tank.

Fish do need a good varied diet, to many dried foods lead to constipation and swim bladder problems, plus if i was a fish flakes every day it like us having a bowl of cornflakes for every meal.
They need frozen foods and veg in there diet.
Get some frozen peas cook for a few minutes in boiling water, let cool down, pop out of shell, mush between fingers and add to the tank.
Is the tank brackish as you should never use salt all the time.

I just add a tiny amount of salt, and the fish also get algae tablets, freeze-dried bloodworms, and cucumber slices.

Right i would still try some frozen foods like bloodworms, you can buy a pack of five different frozen foods, it has daphnia in it as well which is very good for digesting the fish food, it's called a quitet pack don't know if i spelt that write so sorry.
Don't care for freeze dried bloodwroms much tends to make them bloat up.

stop adding salt, you dont need it, non of your fish need it and it WILL kill your tetras

thats is most likely the problem, the salt, look up osmosis and osmosis in fish, its to do with the way water flows through a surface and salt reverses the flow on fish and stops water exscaping... ie bloated fish

I think this one's pregnant. Their have been no signs of illness and she's being pooping often
