I would get a big fish tank IF it was cycled and came with some $ for fish...and if not then the PS3 but if the PS3 had no games with it then I'd go the fish tank Lol I don't play that much Playstation anyways the games are to expensive ($90 on average in Aus)

but not long ago the PS3 was due for release in March 2007 in the UK!!! Knowing them they will delay it again!!

Well, I would pick a Ps3 if Sony hadn't been so nice to it's fantastic UK customers and snubbed us until after christmas.. so that leaves me with just the fish tank.

Wow... sucks for you guys in the UK.... they already released it in Japan at the beginning of the month and I think they said they sold like 2 million consoles in under 5 hrs or something.... ridiculous.....

$600.00 really isn't that expensive for what it is:

A Game console;
A DVD player;
A CD player;
Has bluetooth capabilities;
Has loads of movie technology;
Has a new type of player or something that I don't remember completely what it is but I think if you buy a seperate unit for the technology, it's close $1000.00 by itself

So $600.00 seems like a bargain with all that stuff

But I'd still get a fish tank Much more entertaining in my opinion

Thats what they are saying now... They are trying to get blueRay to replace DVD's as the standard for videos - they wont manage. I love useless overpriced technology! Here, let me sell you this shoe, while you walk it flashes, plays music AND you can insert an obsscure format media that no-one uses into the sole and it will play that on mini screens on your sole! Whee! (or should I say Wii?))

PS3 or FishTank? FISHTANK anyday! (only because its more expensive than a Wii... I'll sell the tank, buy a Wii and with the extra money get extra controllers, Zelda Twilight Princess and something else...)

EDIT: I'm not buying Sony anytime soon... they have problems with Greenpeace, they have problems with EXPLODING batteris, they have problems with dead pixels, they have problems getting BluRay diodes that will work, they have problems with just about any product they make...

Nah nah nah it HAS to be Xbox 360 or Ps3. im getting an xbox but only cos my mates have them so i can play them online, aparently the online play is much better than ps3. and also i want a next gen NOW not in x months time!

if its a decent fish tank i would snub u losers and get the tank as PS3 will be fun for a while then it gets slung to one side and noone else cares about it asusual and a year down the line ther will be a new console

but a tank now thers a bonus u can ahve all sorts whitch everone enjoys but would have to be at least 80gallon tank

I really don't recommend any 'kit' seeing as it's usually well overpriced for what it's worth. I'm also not one to spend money on stands when you can either make it yourself or use a good desk/table to stand the tank on. I say get that PS3 and if you really want a tank, sell the PS3 to get yourself a second hand big tank and second hand filters. You'll get much more for your money that way.
