Christmas Moss

Bought some christmas moss about a month ago and is thriving in my tank and looks great.

Now I want to transfer some of it to another piece of bog wood.

Is it as simple as taking cuttings from the orignal peice of christmas moss and tying it down to another piece of bog wood???
