Choosing Ram...can I Mix ?

Probably asked before but I can't find it.

I bought a Gold Ram, prettiest in the tank with long fins. I am assuming likely a male. He is really great, reminds me of a mini version of my Severum by interaction. Cutie ! If I want to add more Rams, it is by pairs correct ? Can I add a few or should I add just 1 female ? If I add 1 female, does it need to be a Gold or can I add a Blue and they get along ? I am not so interested in breeding but more of compatibility issues.

I currently have in a 30 gal. tank:
5 Corys
1 BN Plec
4 Diamond Tetras
1 Gold Ram

I am stuck on the Ram and Pleco. Tetras and Corys can be replaced/rehomed. This tank has been boring since I started it. I was going to add 1 Angel, but just not sure !

You could have 2 pairs of w/e ram you'd like. I would go with a pair of gold rams and a pair of blue rams. Provide plenty of caves
