Chocolate Cichlid Not Eating!

my dad has a male chocolate cichlid, now he aint been eating for a week and were getting very worried about it,
ive took him out and put him in a spear 29G tank with a baby convict, i put a few pellets in and he doesnt seem interested do u know what is happening to him?

what are the parameters in the tank.
ammonia.
nitrite.
nitrate.
pH.

most problems are caused by poor water quality which could be one or more of the above or diseases being brought in on new fish

May be internal parasites, also. I would get him in a tank by himself until you know for sure.

See if he'll eat any peas.
