Hi all, I’m coming back to this thread to post an update on what I ended up doing for the tank. I’m currently stocked with 11 chili rasboras and cherry shrimp with plans on getting a couple more chilis and thoughts on another small species.

I was looking at the chilis and noticed that some of them had larger stomachs than the others, while they’ve all been fed the amounts. Im not sure if it’s distinguishable in the pictures I have, but im curious if anyone has any idea if im overfeeding or fingers crossed, they’re egg bound. Any input would be great!

They’re currently in a 16 gallon heavily planted tank at 77 degrees.

I have both the chili rasboras and the dwarf rasboras plus emerald rasboras and Celestial Pearl Danios. The Chili's are in one tank set up for breeding but they are just too young just yet. The CPD's are in another tank with 4 panda corys that is heavily planted and the dwarf and Emerald rasboras are in another tank that I've just started with breeding in mind. Once again though they may be too young yet though. However the dwarf rasboras and the CPD's are showing breeding signs but I really can't watch them all day long to see any egg laying. I'm hoping that the leaf litter at the bottom of the tanks contribute to a decent hiding place for fry along with a supply of infusoria. I believe that water parameters are very important for breeding them so perhaps try to get as natural as possible.
The apparent stomach size of females in breeding condition is what you have there my friend so good luck.
My own tank with the dwarf rasboras and emerald rasboras is streaming live right now. The light has just been put on and I already see some hopeful male/female interaction.

Perfect that’s exactly what I was hoping to hear. Goodluck to you with yours.

Do you think your panda corys would eat your cpd’s eggs at all?
