Well well , I always worry about my water quality and if my stock do well ...Today I cleaned my filter and after seeing something zoom across the front of the tank I went in for further inspection and to my surprise I have hundreds of baby Cherry Shrimp! I could not believe it. I am well chuffed!

This pic is not the best but I did manage to get one

First kittens and now shrimp :hyper: Congrats :good:

Oooo this person lives close to me  Congrats on the new additions then.

LOL JayJay , I thought I was the only unfortunate one who happens to live in Glos...I am in the Forest Of Dean, where abouts are you? If you want some Shrimp when they are older let me know , I will be more than happy to give u some.

Haha, there are a few of us, I can think of at least 3 others :) I'm in Abbeymead. What LFS do you use then?

Thanks for the offer on the shrimp :)

I sometimes go to Aquatic Habitat , but lately their fish have not been up to their normal standard so I have avoided them and go to Blooms in Stonehouse to Aqua Jardine. How about u?

I use loads, Aquatic Habitat, Aqua Jardan, World of water, Hurrens and others in Bristol etc.

Aww that is fabby. Did you mean to breed them? just out of interest, what else do you have in there with them. Just wondering how the babies managed to make it.

Actually No , I had no idea they were even breeding. I bought 5 CHerry Shrimp and chucked em in and 2 months later there are just loads of babies swimming around lol ...I have a guppy tank , with a crab and 2 mollies and 2 albino corys. I have a big tank though and it is planted out .

This is one of the parents and a photo of my tank

Congratulations!

That's a nice tank you have too!

congrats, just out of interest do you have somewhere for the crab to come out of the water?

J4MES
I don't provide him with any means to come out but he does climb into the top of the filter and rest on top of that. He tends to spend most of his time there unless it's feeding time.
