Will Cherry Shrimp bother Betta fish? Also, would anyone recommend keeping one in a bowl with a Betta, if they do get along? And if they don't bother Betta fish, will they eat the fry? :( I wouldn't want to come home to extremely happy Cherry Shrimp and no fry (when I plan breed my halfmoon betta in this coming summer). Also, will Cherry Shrimp get along with Ramshorn? I want to know ahead of time, and not make a stupid mistake... :X Thanks in advance~ :)

Seeing how tiny cherry shrimps are, I would have guessed they'd be more at risk from the betta than the other way round- but I'm just guessing, haven't actually seen this. Amano shrimps might be safer.
As for when you breed- you will need a separate fry tank anyway, so that should solve the problem.

Oh, it was because I've heard of people keeping some types of cleaners in fry tanks such as ramshorns and so I was wondering if cherry shrimps can be used. That was my reasoning.

Thanks! :)

some people do i read that the fighter would eat the shrimps!!!!!!!!!

I know my bumblebee goby loves cherry shrimp.... :<

I'm afraid cherry reds wouldnt be a good choice. If they were a filter shrimp then it'd be aiite since they're larger in size. I keep a cherry only tank and it works out really colourful so you might wanna take that as an option :good:

One of my bettas died because he choked on a cherry shrimp :(

Yeah, I wouldn't reccomend it. He didn't take notice of the shrimp for weeks, then one day, chomp... and he choked and died.
