I was posted 9 today. 2 were dead. the other 7 are pretty lifeless. I think they are alive but they ain't moving. I am seeing some occasional flickers of legs or something but they haven't moved in hours except the smallest one who is male has made his way across the tank. They have their water at room temp 24 and it's all new, dechlorinated water. Sand substrate, slate caves and moss ball and java moss. I know how to take care of shrimplings, I am just worried about them - do they not travel well or something?

I would pm colin t about your strimps or post in the inverbrates part of the forum.

I am so sorry to here your shrimps have died or are dying.................. :(

I post out many shrimps,And as yet never had any arrived dead or dying,

I have myself received very poorly shrimps due to the packageing,
But If they are packaged up carefully with a little weed to hang on to ,and sent special next day delivery befor 1oc with LIVING CREATURES/SHRIMPS printed clearly on the box and HANDLE WITH CARE they should travel well,
I can not understand why your shrimps have not arrived in tip top condition, shrimps normaly travel well.

I always recomend that shrimps are never put in to a new uncycled tank,or one that has been treated with dechlorinated treatments of any kind,i find shrimps are best added to a tank that has been up and running for approx 4 weeks with a fish or 2 to help cycle it.
How long had your tank been set up for befor you added your shrimps? Did you use a dechlorinator?
