How quickly do Cherry Barbs grow?. I bought 5 from my LFS and they are from a half to three quarters of an inch. I read that they grow to approx 2" inches and live approx 3yrs. Just wondering if they are quick or slow growers.

the cherr barb reaches maturity a t 3 to 4 months, the ones at the stores are 1 to 2 months hope i could help

Ive got a mixture of full grown and young tiger barbs in my tank and ive had the younger ones id say 4 months and they havent reached full size yet. I feed them twice a day aswell as there very gready, flakes in the morning and bloodworrms or shrimp brine in the evening and of course cucumber or deshelled peas once a week

Overweight and growing are two different things :p

You should be feeding blood worms once or two a week as a treat or you'll be overfeeding. Fish can last a week or longer with no food at all.

Psh I bloodworm feed everyday almost :p
Guess it depends on what fish you're keeping.
Cherry Barbs do like to gorge themselves silly.

Most barbs will gorge themselves silly given half a chance, they're as bad as tetras.

yes but when they do that to much they get swim bladder..

Deshelled peas can help with swim bladder as that can also be a result of constipation (swim bladder being squashed) so peas help them go for there number 2s
